Processing for College Students out of State

College Mail Processing

For college students enrolled full-time in an out of state college or university, we can
assist you by processing your requests through our Mail Processing department. ​

Titling a vehicle/trailer/motorcycle purchased at a dealership:

  1. Title or Manufacturers Certificate of Origin (MCO) - Provided by Dealer
  2. Proof of insurance dated within the last 30 days that is equivalent to the State of Alaska insurance requirements ( 50k / 100k / 25k ).
  3. Include all documents provided by the Dealership & Lender
  4. Fill out Vehicle Transaction Application completely
  5. Print, sign and date Vehicle Transaction Application
  6. Copy of current Driver’s License
  7. Letter from the registrar’s office verifying you are a full-time student and
    maintain Alaska residency
  8. Fill out and sign the UMV Mail Service Agreement
  9. Email your documents to mp@umvak.com for review. Once we have reviewed everything, we will notify you of any needed changes. We cannot process vehicle transactions without the original documents.
  10. Once verification is received from us you will need to mail original documents to: ​

Titling a vehicle/trailer/motorcycle purchased from an individual:

  1. Title - signed by prior owner in the seller section; signed by you in the buyers section; current odometer reading; and date of sale
  2. Proof of insurance dated within the last 30 days that is equivalent to the State of Alaska insurance requirements ( 50k / 100k / 25k ).
  3. Include documents provided by Lender if you financed vehicle
  4. Fill out Vehicle Transaction Application completely
  5. Print, sign and date Vehicle Transaction Application
  6. Copy of current Driver’s License
  7. Letter from the registrar’s office verifying you are a full-time student and
    maintain Alaska residency
  8. Fill out and sign the UMV Mail Service Agreement
  9. Email your documents to mp@umvak.com for review. Once we have reviewed everything, we will notify you of any needed changes. We cannot process vehicle transactions without the original documents.
  10. Once verification is received from us you will need to mail original documents to: ​

Registration Renewal:

  1. Fill out Vehicle Transaction Application completely
  2. Print, sign and date Vehicle Transaction Application
  3. Letter from the registrar’s office verifying you are a full-time student and
    maintain Alaska residency
  4. Copy of current Driver’s License
  5. Proof of insurance dated within the last 30 days that is equivalent to the State of Alaska insurance requirements ( 50k / 100k / 25k ).
  6. Fill out and sign the UMV Mail Service Agreement
  7. Email your documents to mp@umvak.com for review. Once we have reviewed everything, we will notify you of any needed changes. We cannot process vehicle transactions without the original documents.

Duplicate Title:

  1. Fill out Vehicle Transaction Application completely
  2. Print, sign and date Vehicle Transaction Application
  3. Fill out Lost or Stolen Title Affidavit completely and have notarized
  4. Copy of current Driver’s License
  5. Proof of insurance dated within the last 30 days that is equivalent to the State of Alaska insurance requirements ( 50k / 100k / 25k ).
  6. Fill out and sign the UMV Mail Service Agreement
  7. Email your documents to mp@umvak.com for review. Once we have reviewed everything we will notify you of any needed changes. We cannot process vehicle transactions without the original documents.
  8. Once verification is received from us you will need to mail original documents to:
